Hey Everyone! I made a video to share my favorite products for the month of June. It was my first time filming and editing a video so let me know if this is something you all would like to see again!

The past four months have flown by for me and since I’ve been gone awhile I wanted to share some new favorites with you guys. The majority of these products are new to me however, one is an old favorite.

  1. Derma-e Purifying Gel Cleanser– As I mentioned in my previous post I was living in Florida for the past four months. You can probably guess that I was a hot, sweaty mess for most of that time. This cleanser worked really well to keep my pores clear of any gunk that can build up due to sweat. The activated charcoal gave my skin a really deep clean without being too harsh or drying. I’ve really been loving derma-e products lately and this cleanser has made its way into my weekly routine.
  2. Pacifica 7-Free Nail Color in Pink Moon- I have really been liking light colored nail polishes lately. I love that it makes your nails look polished but still natural. One thing I really like about Pacifica’s nail polishes is that they are free of the seven harmful chemicals used in conventional polishes. Even without those chemicals this polish applies evenly and has decent wear time.
  3. 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Luminizer– This pink-toned luminizer has been my

favorite everyday highlight for almost a year now. It’s not overly sparkly or glittery so your face doesn’t look like a disco ball that could be seen from outer space. This luminizer gives the perfect “glow from within” look that I really love. To make it look even more natural you can set it with a damp beauty blender.

  4. Kopari Coconut Rose Toner– I mainly use this facial spray before I apply my makeup and to set my makeup. It smells fantastic and adds moisture to my skin that helps my makeup apply better. I also like to spritz a little bit onto my face during the day if my makeup needs freshening up.

As a note: Everything I mention on this blog is vegan and cruelty-free! Thanks for reading!

Over this past month I have accumulated some new products that I have come to love. All of these products have been new to me this month and I wanted to share my thoughts about them!

  1. EcoTools Makeup Sponges– These sponges came in a pack of two (one dark green and one light green) and both sponges offer a different type of application. The larger,  dark green sponge is less dense and allows for a lighter application. The smaller, light green sponge is more dense and applies more of a medium coverage. The light green sponge is also really great for concealer application. I have been using both sponges quite frequently and they are a great dupe for the more expensive Beauty Blender sponge.
  2. Josie Maran Surreal Skin Argan Finishing Balm–  I got this as a sample at Sephora and I wasn’t sure how much I was going to use it. I was sick earlier in the month and I ended up using this product on the dry skin around my nose before applying makeup. It really helped re-hydrate the area and allowed my make up to apply better. You can use this as a primer before makeup or as a cream to put on top of your makeup. I think this product would be really great for anyone who experiences a lot of dryness on their face as it is great for soothing those areas.
  3. Root Pretty Loose Eyeshadow in Tan Rose– This is the first product I have ever tried from Root and I am very impressed. The eyeshadow is beautiful and applies very nicely without any fallout. I really want to try more of their products in the future.
  4. Cover FX Cream Concealer– I had been wanting to try a more full coverage concealer so, I picked up this concealer to test out. I really like the amount of coverage it gives and the formula is very easy to blend. You only need a very small amount of product because it is very pigmented. I primarily use it to conceal under my eyes and it doesn’t crease when I set it with a powder.
  5. Wet N’ Wild Megaliner– This eyeliner was another product I wasn’t sure I was going to like.I ended up finding that it has a felt tip applicator that is very easy to use. The formula of the eyeliner doesn’t smudge and drys to be a dark black color. I think it is a great option for anyone who is looking for an affordable liquid liner.

Holiday Makeup Favorites

The holiday season is in full swing and I have a few makeup favorites to share with you!

dsc_0010

OCC Tinted Moisturizer– This is my go-to foundation for many seasons. I find that in the winter it is especially helpful for my dry skin. It is a very light coverage foundation but, it gives a really beautiful finish on the skin. It can be paired under a powder foundation as a base.

100% Pure Pomegranate Lipstick in Poppy– I love a red lip for the holidays and I have been enjoying this lipstick recently. It is a very moisturizing lipstick and is not completely matte. I love 100% Pure products because you don’t have to worry about any potentially harmful ingredients. dsc_0045

Pacifica Dream Big Mascara– This mascara covers all of your lashes’ needs. The wand is extendable so it can lengthen or volumize your lashes.  I first use the lengthening side and then after that coat is dry I use the volumizing side. The formula doesn’t flake and it has conditioning properties to strengthen your lashes.

Kat Von D Ink Liner– I’ve been using this eyeliner for awhile now and I really enjoy the felt-tip applicator. The applicator makes it easy to get a good wing. It dries matte and stays all day.

100% Pure Nail Polish in Cherry Pop– Red nails are a classic for the holidays. I think this shade would be very flattering on all skin tones. The formula dries relatively quickly and is free of any harmful chemicals.

Overall these products are sure to give you a simple yet, festive holiday look. If you have any favorite products for the holidays please let me know in the comments!

January (Vegan) Favorites

These five products have been “must-haves” in my current routine the entire month of January. Some of these products I discovered this month and others I just discovered a new love for.

DSC_0054   Sugared Amber Dreams Perfume-  Pacifica recently launched this perfume along with a few other products with this fragrance and, of course, I was dying to try it. This perfume is the perfect mix of sweet and “woodsy”. I really enjoy it for the winter months because it is a heavier sent, however, it is still not overpowering or headache-producing. (Plus, who doesn’t love a perfume with unicorns on it?!)

Rose hip Oil- In the month of January I decided to branch out a little more with my skincare. Typically, I only use a little bit of argon oil mixed into my nightly moisturizer. I had been curious about rose hip due to the fact it is considered a “balancing oil”. I used this in place of argon oil at night and I did see a slight reduction in my dark spots/acne scars and the redness in my cheeks. Nothing magical but, a noticeable difference.

ELF Contour Palette-  I had always been slightly afraid to contour my face for two reasons. 1. Because I didn’t know how to do it and 2. I could never find the right contour shade. This palette solves both of those problems in addition to only being $6. I have pale skin with pink undertones so, I have  found most contour powders to be too orange or too dark. The darkest shade in the ELF palette is the perfect taupe/brown shade that looks natural on my skin. All of these powders are extremely easy to blend so, no harsh lines are left behind.

DSC_0047 100% Pure Vanilla Bean Body Cream-  This lotion became my obsession this month. It is very moisturizing without being too heavy or oily and the vanilla scent is out of this world. It honestly smells like the best birthday cake you’ve ever had.

Dreamy Cover Serum Foundation-  Another Pacifica product, surprised? This is a lightweight foundation that gives a light to medium coverage. This did take some experimenting with to find the best way to apply it. Shaking this up is a must because it will separate. I found that buffing it in with a flat top foundation brush is the best way to go and a little bit goes a long way. This foundation doesn’t give amazing coverage however, it leaves a beautiful finish on the skin. It gives a glow to the skin but it’s not overly dewy.

If you like these types of posts please let me know! Also, if you would like to see a more in-depth review of any of the products mentioned above I would be very pleased to do so. Thank you!
